CASA SHaW announces new Board of Trustee Members

Lebanon, NJ (September 25) – Court Appointed Special Advocates of Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties (CASA SHaW) has announced the appointment of three new Board of Trustee members, Rucha Dubli, Daria Wasserbach, and Michelle Kirmser.  CASA SHaW Board members are fiduciaries who ensure the advancement of the program’s child advocacy mission through legal governance and fiscal management policies.  Each board member serves 3-year terms for up to 9-years.

“We are so grateful to have these three individuals serve on the Board.  Like our other Board members, they all embody the spirit of community and bring talent, expertise, and energy to the table.  CASA SHaW is incredibly fortunate to have Michelle, Daria, and Rucha on our team as we continue to strengthen our programming for children living in foster care within in our region,” said Tracey Heisler, Executive Director.

Dubli is graduate of Rutgers University and a paralegal who is currently employed at Blume, Forte, Fried, Zerres, & Molinari law firm. She is not only a CASA advocate but has also done volunteer work in our community at Elijah’s Soup Kitchen as well as the Domestic Violence Outreach project.

Wasserbach is a graduate of Rider University and is now retired after a distinguished career in education.  She was the Superintendent of the Delaware Valley Regional High School Board of Education. She was also a member of the New Jersey Association of School Administrators and the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce.

Kirmser, a graduate of the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University, has also served as CASA volunteer advocate since 2021. Professionally, she was the General Counsel and First Vice President at Unity Bank in Clinton, NJ for many years.  She has also volunteered as a Board Member for the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Banking Section.

“CASA envisions a world where every child will have a safe, permanent home.  We are blessed to have the leadership to help fulfill our mission and advance the public good,” said Heisler. “That starts by bringing together talented and committed leaders who have the perspectives, backgrounds, and skill sets the organization needs at the board level.”

CASA of Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties is part of a statewide network of community-based, non-profit programs that recruit, screen, train and supervise volunteers to “Speak Up for a Child” removed from home due to abuse or neglect. CASA is the only program in New Jersey that uses trained volunteers to work one-on-one with children, ensuring that each one gets the services needed and achieves permanency in a safe, nurturing home.
