CASA SHaW Resources
The Traveling Tutor Program
Traveling Tutors are CASA volunteers with educational backgrounds who travel to provide in-home tutoring sessions for foster children. The goals of this initiative are to 1) strengthen kids' academic skills; 2) build a sense of competency with success; and 3) support their promotion from one grade level to the next. Learn more about our Traveling Tutors Program by emailing us at email@example.com.
When families face significant challenges, it can be difficult to find the help needed to navigate crises. CASA SHaW provides links (below) to community stakeholders who can provide concrete resources for families in need. Some of these include domestic violence shelters, community mental health providers, information about where to apply for food stamps, subsidized housing, and medical coverage, early intervention resources, local food banks, parenting supports, and Family Success Centers.
